Trekking through the Valley of Flowers National Park in Uttarakhand is akin to stepping into a natural, living canvas. Tucked away in the Chamoli district within the UNESCO-recognized Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, this high-altitude valley sits at 3,658 meters (~12,000 ft) above sea level.
During the monsoon months, the alpine meadows burst into a vibrant blanket of over 500 species of wild Himalayan blooms, including the rare Blue Poppy, Brahma Kamal, Cobra Lily, and Himalayan Bellflower.
Whether you are planning a nature escape, a trek to the sacred Hemkund Sahib, or a family adventure, this guide covers everything you need to know about logistics, seasonal blooms, and trip planning.
