The Divine Heritage
Badrinath is a holy town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district. It is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India (Char Dham). The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is open for six months every year. The town comes alive with colorful festivities and the chanting of Vedic mantras.
Spiritual Importance
"Part of both the Chota Char Dham and the main Char Dham. It is considered the place where Lord Vishnu meditated in the form of a berry tree (Badri)."
